Yeah, that's pretty much what I do unless the bridge happens to have a weight posted.

...the OP hasn't replied, fly-by-night poster I guess?

Curious what company...it's obvious somebody didn't show them the way to balance a truck...

(Guess if they loaded it stupidly then that's one thing...but stil.)

The op stated his axles were all the way back. My guess is overweight on the trailer and unable to get axle legal without stretching all the way out.

    Vilhiem and zoekatya Thank this.

I used to pick up rolls at what was once known as Kimberly Clark at Lee, MA, and take them down to VA.

If not there at Lee, MA, then up the road a bit to Adams, MA, same type of weights. just different paper rolls

    Vilhiem Thanks this.

The OP was underweight in total, if he had the trailer axels all the way back then I'd think his drives were over.
Granted, if you've gotta be over then that's where you want the weight... But still, unless it was loaded improperly then 78k isn't that terrible to balance out.

I've pulled 79k out of meadwest in Alabama and was legal. ...was definitely legal by the time I hit the scales from fuel consumption.
