Curious what company...it's obvious somebody didn't show them the way to balance a truck...
(Guess if they loaded it stupidly then that's one thing...but stil.) -
The op stated his axles were all the way back. My guess is overweight on the trailer and unable to get axle legal without stretching all the way out.

Granted, if you've gotta be over then that's where you want the weight... But still, unless it was loaded improperly then 78k isn't that terrible to balance out.
I've pulled 79k out of meadwest in Alabama and was legal. ...was definitely legal by the time I hit the scales from fuel consumption. -
