Is it correct that a Pre Trip on a car is the same as a truck, just that the parts are alot smaller?

I always pre-tripped my cars (checked all lights) as a teenager before heading out drinking :)

This is the one I always recommend. The important thing is find a Pre-Trip video from a CDL school or trucking company. Read your state CDL manual pre-trip info and compare the items and the repeating phrases to the repeating phrases in the video. For a particular state you may need to subsititute the repeating phrase of your CDL manual for those in the video. The OP should watch several of the YouTube Pre-Trip videos to find one that matches his state's CDL manual, if possible, and then watch and re-watch that video over and over. Watching all of the videos on YT about Pre-Trip will just confuse memorizing what you have to say at the state exam. The state examiner wants you to say the words in the CDL manual, not something equivalent, not pretty close. The exact words. It's not a discussion, it's a state exam. The state employee wants to hear the words in the state CDL manual.

    In a car.
The water separator is really big. They call it a gas tank.
The def tank is enclosed inside the
Oil pan. Very difficult to refill.
