AND better money a lot of the time.

Money isn’t gonna be great regardless as a new driver, get a couple years under your belt and you’re good.

Sure you gotta work as a local driver but at least you aren’t a creepy truck hermit eating hot dogs for breakfast.

You’re out getting a tan and getting jacked lol.

Creepy truck hermit needs to become a thing now. We need to remember this and use it constantly until it becomes a daily thing. You sir are spitting out solid gold.

It's like riding a bike. Just harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

I want to travel, just don't want to be gone for weeks at a time. And there's no good paying local jobs around here, I'm not driving a truck for $14hr I made that at the mill.

That's because they're low life slobs.

I put off 9 stops in Lubbock the other day.. 100+ temps... nobody had a dock.
3 of the 9 had no help when I arrived so I ended up tailgating AND taking it off and rolling it in for them.
    (Do what you gotta do)

When I was finished, I was soaking wet with sweat and half covered in grime but had to high tail it back to DFW to switch out for the next days punishment.. so I'd be on time.

I took my 30 and before I walked in a store, I stripped all those clothes off.. completely washed down with my emergency supplies, and redressed.

Got back, switched out.. and got my proper shower.

It's all about CARING how you present yourself.
These slobs are rampant out here.. but it's not all of us.
    It's a choice.

I didn't find it too hard. First time out in public with a truck the instructor took me through an industrial park with tight streets and lots of parked vehicles. Pretty nerve wracking. By the 3rd time out in public it was really not a big deal. Going down the open highway to the scalehouse and back was easiest of all.

Oh yeah I know it’s not all of us.

I’m the same way, people laugh because I dress pretty nice for a guy laying black top but #### it. If I’m gonna spend a big chunk of my life working I'm gonna look fresh doing it. It’s not hard to throw on some clean jeans, bad ### boots and a flannel.

The same slobs will say “no one respects me!”

No ####, your look doesn’t command respect. You don’t respect yourself.

This is why I like having a uniform. All I need to do is shower, shave, laundry, and polish the boots. A lot of guys say they would never wear a uniform but it really does make life easy and I never have to worry about being mistaken for a truck driver lol.

I don’t mind uniform shirts but I can’t wear the pants.

Not trying to brag or be a douche but I got lifters legs. I have a 32 waist but need a size 34 or 35 to get the thighs to fit and look like I’m wearing my dads pants they are so baggy.

I get those carhartt double fronts or rigbys in slim straight with stretch. Queer eye for the truck guy.
