Is it just me or are young adults under the age of 25 just plain lazy?

Teens have plenty of time to work, Once they graduate. 8 hrs of school isn’t enough? The vast majority of children would fail miserably at life if they were required to attend school and work. And why all the sudden is there this push to put kids into the work force? Seems like people are pushing big business propaganda to keep wages low and profits high.
My child spent 13 hrs a day on school related activities during his 4 years of HS. Got up everyday at 5am left the house at 6 am usually got home at 7pm couple nights a week would get home even later. Lmao if anyone would criticize him or my wife and I for him not working during his HS years. His job was school. He was required to excel which he did.

Sophomore year in HS interned for a college professor and helped research Bio mimicking gels by writing a computer program and running thousands of simulations.
Junior year won the states Science fair.

Graduated with a 4.0 not the highest in his class but it was #### impressive. He is now a freshman in college plans on being an engineer.

Instead of striving for average encourage excellence from the younger generations. We all will be better off.

Fun game: Everyone who has posted in this thread, go ahead and replace the word (including the title) from "Millenial" to "Black".

Now go ahead and replace the word (including the title) from "Millenial" to "White".

    For example:

"Is it just me or are white people just plain lazy?"

"Is it just me or are black people just plain lazy?"

And be sure to let us know if you all (who have posted in this thread) would be comfortable leaving your posts up if we switched out the word "Millenial" for either "Black" or "White".

Some pretty disgusting things being said in this thread.

Happy to leave mine up, change it to white, or black, if you so wish.
I'm proud to be a millenial, and believe that most are wonderful people.

Pffffff, typical Millennial with your feelings and caring about others.

Don’t you know? It’s all about me, me, me and it’s everyone else’s fault, well just the Millennial’s fault really.

Don’t you have a snowstorm to blow around in SNOWFLAKE?

You better join in on the Millennial hate train or we’re going to get accused of killing one of the most fun past times this world has had for the last decade and a half, Millennial bashing.

P.S. Hitler and Stalin were Millennials!

I totally agree. My daughter worked a bit at McDonalds in High School. She wanted to make money. I think it was a good experience. She also worked all through college.I once suggested she not work and focus on School. She responded, no way was she not going to work. Now She’s a Professional and has a Job she loves. We always encouraged her. Still she did all the work. I did buy her a good late model car for her 19th birthday. I wanted her safe on the road. If she were a boy, it would have been old car. I think it’s a Parents responsibility to prepare them for life. It’s a blessing to know she’s fully Independent and Successful.

Lol!! I read a study that Millennials value friends and family time more than working overtime. God forbid they value things that make life better. I truly believe theres 2 ways to age. One way criticizes everything new and different, longing for the good old days, usually through a rose colored lens. The other way adapts and accepts the newer generation. They do have more of a future ahead of them. There’s reasons for the shift in focus. Many have watched their Parents waste their Lives working for peanuts. Much like my Generation watched Parents toil in assembly factories, Coal Mines and Steel Mills. It’s only natural to question if there’s more to Life when your young. The old way isn’t always the best way. It all boils down to a point of view, Literally. Depends on whether your looking forward or looking back. While you have to look back to understand how you got here, and how best to proceed. It’s still up to each individual to do the best they can. Anything less is a failure that can’t be blamed on anyone but themselves. Taking responsibility for failures is probably the most important thing a person can do for themselves. Being honest and going forward, realizing you don’t have to be perfect, and never will be. Otherwise someone can spend their whole life blaming others for their Lot, in reality their Self Defeating themselves.

Sure, they watched their parents be overworked and question life. (While they still allow their parents to be overworked, accept a comfy home, their iphones, plenty of food.......)
