Is it just me or are young adults under the age of 25 just plain lazy?

Yeah I don’t jump up and run after my 10 is over either.
No one else gets in a #### hurry so why should I? I also don’t run at my governor constantly.
I’ll put in a fair days work for a fair days pay, but im not going above and beyond for an outfit that could replace me in 20mins, or think they can rather.
“the poor man’s got a back that’s strong and a mind that’s weak” not this guy.
As a teenager I worked harder than most grown men I’ve seen even to date. I don’t work hard anymore, I work smart and efficient (at least I do my best)dwells40, 48Packard, alds and 1 other person Thank this. -

When say a mining shovel goes down, its costing the mine tens of thousands of dollars an hour (sometimes reaching into 6 figures) in lost production and idle time. Paying a crew $60/hour each to get it fixed and back in production ASAP is peanuts compared to what's lost when operations shut down.
Tradespeople generally make decent wages, but it takes quite a few working on customer stuff in order to turn a profit to pay the owner, office staff and other expenses. No different than the guy who wants to buy a truck, hire a driver and collect a paycheque. Just doesn't work like that.D.Tibbitt, dwells40, God prefers Diesels and 2 others Thank this. -

Pretty much the only correct answer. I'm 28 and I have friends I grew up with that have already established their life, bought a home, have a family, etc. I also have people I grew up with that are the exact opposite and blame everything on big government and capitalism even though they can't hold a job for longer than a year, spend half their paychecks on Uber Eats and video games, but right not their fault at all.
I also see the same exact thing in the older people, especially out here on the road. There's drivers I know that got it together and there's drivers that are just mad at the world and everything is somebody else's fault. And it's the latter that's always complaining the younger generations and out here trying to give advice to us. Like man you look homeless, you stink, you were counting pocket change to just buy a cup of coffee, you probably live in a trailer park, and you were just bragging about how you've driven for 30 different companies over the years. You're a mess. Stop trying to give me advice.born&raisedintheusa, D.Tibbitt, dwells40 and 3 others Thank this. -
