Is it legal to carry a bottle of alcohol on the truck in a toolbox?

The law isn't about fairness, it's about the words in the laws and regulations and what the courts have ruled are the legal meaning of those words. A dictionary and a reasonable discussion among non-lawyers is no better guide to the meaning of the law than flipping a coin. The Feds don't care if their policy make someone's off-time inconvenient. No drinking alcohol transported in the truck, except as manifested cargo with the appropriate license and permits.

 

A thousand drivers not getting caught will not help if you are caught.
Don't volunteer for trouble if you are going to whine after you get caught.
That just makes you a fool and a whiner.

 

Ima leave this here. Imagine that karen called your company or worse the police and said you had been acting drunk while driving and they show up with you half way through a beer. Welp good luck. And that sort are as common as flys on ####. Ive even had a few karens get in my face over my liquid death water. Its literally just flavored water in a beer style can that near always has cupons making it cheaper then case water lol.

Do you REALLY wanna risk his type destroying your life over a drink?
