Runhard check with Mc Tank. We have a terminal in Atlanta, have good benefits and steady work. You'll be trained on pumping and driving with liquid. You won't be released on your own until you, the trainer n safety are convinced your ready. I drive a 2011 Mack but it's a good solid truck. From what I know n have seen we have no junk. I have 2 felonies from 1995 and this got my hazmat and TWIC. As long as it's not treason, terrorism, crimes against the country and there are some others I can't remember.

Watkins-Shepard has a terminal in Las Vegas. That would be a good place to start your career. They haul dedicated freight, so you would be home often. Send an online application and see if they offer you a job.

I doubt if they have local runs. Check Craigslist.

Depending on the felony and state, should be able to get it expunged. If it dates back to 04,thats what decided on the process and how basically your living your life now. Seems as if your an upright citizen and simply made a mistake,I would contact an attorney and inquire about this. Its a form that you can do yourself, but I wouldnt tackle something like that myself. Although you might be paying more than 1,000 bucks for a simple form fill out, Id pay the dough. Once it is expunged,by law all records need to removed concerning the conviction and arrest. It takes time,up to a year or so depending on how fast those clerks move. After all is said and done, law states that you dont have ever mention it again. Even though this thread is 4 months old, good luck.

That's true it can be expunged if. You only have one conviction of any type of crime. If you have anything else on your record even as small as a drinking underage charge your not eligible. Basicly if your felony is the only time you ever ran afoul of the law excluding traffic violations. Also I think the felony has to be at least 10 years old. If you meet those requirements its fairly easy from what I've researched.

If you want fun, try a BLEVE. If you ever hear a burning tank anything starts to roar then whistle rising in pitch towards the top of your hearing. RUN and do not stop for anything.

    The Felony Violation.. that's tough.

The listing of DAC violations include a felony in lifetime which will exclude you...

Here is another source specifically about trying to get hired and some of the things that will essentially BAR you either a period of time up to including years and for a few such as a felony a life time ban on you being hired to truck.

    Source Link.

Q : I have used many services to look for a driving job but I'm having no luck at all. What would keep me from finding a truck driving job?

If you are having more difficulties than normal, there may be something in your driving record, MVR or DAC that is holding you back. The following are examples of items that might keep a company from contacting you for employment:

1 or more felonies in your lifetime
    A drug related felony conviction
10 years or older felony conviction
    Child pornography related conviction
    Convicted of a violent crime
    Firearm related conviction
Murder / Rape / Misconduct / Burglary / Robbery / Capital Theft conviction
    Assault & Battery
Conviction/ investigated / or suspected of involvement in of terrorist activities
    Currently on probation or parole
More than $5,000 of damage from a preventable accident in last 5 years
3 or more moving violations in last 3 yrs
3 or more preventable accidents in last 5 years
Truck abandonment in last 5 years
License suspension is less than 3 years old
1 or more moving violations over 15 mph in last 3 years
A DUI/DWI within the last 5 years or more than 2 DUI/DWIs ever.
Fired in the last 5 years
    Ever failed a drug screen
