Shoes will crack when the drum surface is no longer level and when excessive heating of the brakes has occurred; sometimes debris getting in between the shoes and the drum will cause cracks as well especially if the drum has a pronounced wear ridge that traps debris.
jethro712 and BUMBACLADWAR Thank this. -
