I firmly believe that your $0.84/mile is off by about $0.36/mile. I'd be interested to see the breakdown on that.

I believe leases are faceless theft. I grossed over 7k my first week as an O/O, and now my second week 7 grand again.

Show me a lease that can gross. 5!!!
I've done 2 leases in my life. One for 8 months and another for 4 months. I was in the hole on both when I quit.

Are you getting a discount on fuel? Are you getting 8mpg or better?

My average weight in the box is less than 20k,I like 1-10k which is pretty easy to find even at 2.25 cpm or above. My speed range is 55-57,when I bought the truck I kept the fleet setting of 65 cruise and 67 on the pedal.

    30 day 7.88
    60 Day 7.73
    90 Day 7.57

I optimize my fuel and plan my stops based on pump price minus state fuel tax. I buy 99.9% of my fuel at TA/Petro where Landstar gets a great cost plus discount, usually .25-.50 off pump price. My average cost for fuel for the last 90 days has been 3.71.

    I wouldn't be an O/O if I couldn't gross $700+ per working day.

Yes it is possible to make $7-8-or even $10,k in a week gross but 75% of drivers never come close to that....$500 a day take home is a more realistic number!!

    truckon and Desert_Skies Thank this.

Depending on your cost of operation thats a good number, but I like 1k a whole lot better but its hard to average that for a whole trip out.

I just had a 3.96/1.5k load that went 1000 miles,if I had that everyday life would truly be all sunshine and mini skirts!
