Net don't really matter because not two drivers cost will be the same. Gross is a better number to use here because of everyone has different cost and fuel economy.
is it possible or easy to gross (not pocket) $800 a day for o/o?

Do a flease deal for some mega carrier and maybe. Get your own stuff, and work for a living, you will gross more than that a day.
My NET after fuel and insurance is $4650 this coming payday, truck is $1500 a month. Left home Monday night, parked up here at the truckstop Saturday night. Then again, I work for a living which means actual manual labor, sweat, and everything.....
