    There is no true consistency in this industry.

    I’m guessing, the LTL industry is probably the most consistent. Their linehauls are set up on pretty tight schedules. Maybe, look at being a contractor, pulling a linehaul for one of them.

    I have to second this for the OP and anybody else who's starting on flatbed. It cannot be overstated how bad things can go if you screw up, especially coils.

    Everything else is pretty accurate too. I can corroborate the load time of 1.5 hours. It's almost like clockwork. If it's loaded pretty fast and you have to tarp it's 1.5 hours minimum. If you like your tarps at least.
