Is it possible to make good money hauling containers (intermodal)?

Well, I can tell you, in Chicago, at least, the rates are about 20% down from last year (strictly line haul, not counting FSC). And I know rates where lower last year, from 2014....so...

 

I dont get whats goin on. My issue is i want to be home daily or every other day. And i dont see nothin local o/o unless its intermodal. And company is good but i need 2k at least weekly.

 

You need 2k a week as a company driver???

 

No i need 2k a week in general. To live my lifestyle. If i net 2k as a o/o id be ok

 

My thing is what will happen in 2017 when elogs come out. No way ill make 1300 as a driver here.

You can make it pulling tanker regional (ask ChicagoJohn)...but you'll be out all week.

 

That's 2k a week net (after all expenses AND TAXES)
