Is it possible to make good money hauling containers (intermodal)?

Things WILL get better, eventually, but not this year.

 

Wait what happened to 3k a week? I know if jb was hiring cross town you can make 1500 home daily. Kiswani usually triples that. Man this sucks.

Rates no? I was hourly. Im new to %. Zo these rates are all new to me. The pay is decent i just want to see more

 

Yep...probably, but only you know your own specific situation.

In my case I just want to pay off this new (to me) truck and be around for the upswing.

EOBRS don't faze me generally, however, Mike and the rest of the dispatch team are gonna HAVE to get more technology in their routine.....

 

Ya i deal with jay jr. Hes all tech. I never talk on the phone. This week once because they called me. I love it. Im jus worried about $$. I dont see bright days ahead in 2017

 

Ah, well, last year rates where a good 15-20% higher....my settlements where almost always above 3k for 5 days. This year they've slowly dropped to 2-2800 per week.....subtract $600 or so for truck payment, insurance, plates, HUT...and then subs tract taxes......

 

Kiswani is a solid, honest company, but you can't expect them to have magical freight or rates that defy market reality....

Read this very forum, EVERYONE is hurting across ALL sectors of trucking....flats, tanker, reefer, dry van.....

 

Is it a definite go on that elog in January? Or still in lingo
