I'm an O/O hauling from the Ports in NJ. I'm leased on to Evans Delivery. I just purchased my truck in June after working for a company and making $20.00 an hour, I average $2000-$4000 clear a week AFTER expenses. I try and do the long runs, they pay the most. I have my plates and Ins. through them and it is the cheapest around. They also do the IFTA reporting. This has opened my eyes on what the prior company was making off of us drivers. Yes sometimes the wait in the piers suck and are long, but past that it's fine. We go to regular locations to deliver product and nothing for me has been back roads and pot holes, all highway.....

Yes, there's money involved.
Owner Operators clear no less than $2,500 after expenses here. We also have a fuel tanker and they fill up from here so I guess that helps as well since it's discounted. -

5 days should be more than enough time to make that money,my 6th day is just if I want to make some extra for a weekend getaway or something

If my company wanted me to work a sixth day I told them they'd have to pay me $300.00 just to show up for work before I would even consider it. 5 days is enough and working a 6th day for an extra $100.00 they give you to me is not worth it. I'm a company driver not an Owner Operator.
4noReason Thanks this. -
