Is it rare to stay out for so long?

Bubba ya' know what else speeds up reaction time, mental agility, and problem solving?

Physical games where you like move!

God I love all these couch spuds that spout how those insipid games are healthy or beneficial. Video games are a bane to a man's existance.

    As for firing a rifle.

I'll make you a bet. We'll go out behind my house and take a couple Remington 700's. I bet with my lifetime experience I can put a round in the neck of a soda bottle at 500. Do you think video game experience would let you make the same shot? I'd let you fire the Barret but you got to sign a waiver and wait for the ambulance to show up. If you have spent any amount of time playing video games it is going to break your shoulder for you when you send the round. Might want to wear some depends as well they are a tad louder up close. That and your head will feel like someone just slapped both your ears even with the plugs and cans.

To the OP. Stay out however you wish. You will need a permenat domicile adress but relatives can be used for this. If not there are mail box services that will give you a" physical adress".

I would offer a small piece of advice and take it however you want. Get out of the truck or smash the video games. JMO but if you do not have the will power to put up a game you do not possess the will, or strength to do this job. This is no game, it is a real world were sloppiness gets people killed. Now yeah getting unloaded I could see using them like I use books. But the days of laying around for hours because your" addicted" to them have to be over.

It's at my Fathers now. But yeah a day at the range with it can get into the hundreds rather quickly. Not quite $5 a round but pricey to say the least.Outstanding platform though. Call Outpost Armory I think they will still do demo's for a fee. It is owned by the Barrett family and truckparking is available across the street at the loves ex 86 I-24 Christiana Tn.

They always have at least a couple to look at there. Also every other conceivable rifle platform.

It's kinda like a porno shop for shooter's:biggrin_2552:

In all honesty the recoil isn't much more than my Remington(which I actually prefer due to time with it). But man the overpressure and the thump just:biggrin_2554:

I've watch just about everything I could about that rifle and it truly is a magnificent firearm! Actually pretty simple design, field strips quickly and yeah the recoil doesn't look that bad. Interesting how Barrett started out just wanting to make the biggest bad rifle and he did it so well that the government came to have a look-see... I saw a show recently that Barrett and I think his son were interviewing soldiers at the range who are assigned these rifles. They wanted to know what the soldiers thought and how they could make the rifle better. They were saying things like lighter weight. And that the scope wasn't ballistically matched with the rifle. And they were even saying the spotter scope wasn't quite right. something like that. It was interesting. Would love a chance to shoot one. I might have to stop off at the Loves I-24 and take a walk across the street to see if I can get my shoulder adjusted. It's been a little stiff lately. :smt070

Is there anyway to get around staying out like 4-6 weeks?? Or is that just the norm? I have been trying to find a company that does something like mon-fri and off on the weekends at home.

I have yet to find a company that readily offers something like this. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong places or these jobs are hard to come by.

Interstae to clarify they won't let you shoot one at Outpost but you can arrange some time on a nearby range I believe. That rifle must be fired on a secure range just because of it's reach. Gotta warn you though if you hold one your going to be significantly lighter in the wallet.
