    I've been asked to give my driver's license number to a potential employer. What are the risk in giving out this number to a company, if any?

    It appears to be a good opportunity, however, some say giving out your DL# is potentially dangerous. Although, every company I know will eventually ask for this information. Any insight on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

    How can you get a driving job without giving thm your DL number????

    As long as it's a legitamate company you have to do it. Only thing I can think of is mabey make sure you called them(and not on a number they gave you) and not if they called you

    there isn't as much "risk" in giving out your drivers license number as opposed to giving out your social security number. they would probably do a quick check with the DMV about your record. failure to give out your drivers license number to a potential employer blows your chances for a job. guard your social security number...........give that out to the employer when you have a solid job offer.
