Is it stupid to get a CDL at age 18, 19, or 20?

The OP got a CDL-B without going to school.
FMCSA requires CDL school to acquire a CDL-A.
The school must be on the FMCSA list of approved schools.

I heard freight rates out of Florida were lower than average for Owner/Operators. Just curious what your average weekly check is and how many miles you’re getting. I’m looking at Satellite Beach, Viera, or Melbourne for retirement. Still driving though, so how’s Ft. Myers for hospitals and crime?
