Is it stupid to get a CDL at age 18, 19, or 20?

Or repealed it... but seriously, show me 5 examples of politicians ("lawmakers") actually doing the work on repealing useless/bad laws without replacing them with materially the same or worse laws...

It happens very occasionally, but mostly only at state levels

ZVar and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this.

Get your cdl and then look at local crane companies. Hire on, get crane certs and work your way up.

Where are you located? Someone might know of a local or intrastate gig that will hire you now in order to gain experience before you are 21...

My nephew got hired at 20 by a heavy haul company to do their local moves until he turned 21.

if you can’t find a driving job , and are interested in other trades like welding or hvac or plumbing or electrical etc
Check into those trades . They don’t have age restrictions. Don’t wait around for years to get your driving job of other good paying jobs are available .

Get it and keep your nose clean and you’ll always have a way to put beans on the table— that might become very important as you age

That's a good idea. There are crane jobs that require CDLs also. They pay well.

You can operate a crane at 18.

He'll be in a unique position to save a lot of money if he decides to hit the road and live in a truck.

I had quite a bit saved up in just 3 years. Spoils of war.

Didn’t read all pages but I got mine at 18 in 2007, food service and dump/mixer are your two biggest options,
