There's no such thing as courtesy parking anymore, at least not in the midwest. It's every truck for themselves. Id rather see someone in that spot than parked along the back of 5 trailers with two feet of clearance on either side, and then blocking those 5 empty spaces til 10 in the morning. Parking sux, i get it, but im getting ready to start throwing bologna slices on windshields

First and last spots are a good way to get your trailer or truck hit. It’s experience, not being nice.

It used to be if someone did park in a spot that they even suspected might be blocking someone, they never closed their curtains so they could be woken up to move by lights, and were up at 3a.m. at the latest looking for a spot to move out of the way. It's not uncommon to these lazy P.O.S. with their curtains pulled at 10 A.M. in the middle of a parking lot.

The entire reason I never, ever use pickle parks is because the last pass-through is almost always taken, and so is the first one a lot of the time. Twice I've either had to back down the off-ramp to the split and then pull through the car area, or drive up on the grass around the occupied last pull-through, to get out. Never, ever again.
