Just give it time, big feller. Once the Otter shows up, you know the conversation will degenerate.

I did not know that Shaffer had Volvo 780, and also awhile back when I talked to Shaffer, it was the luck of the draw if you received a truck with a APU. Not all of them have it, and they also told me, I would be lucky if I saw 2500/wk, and that was out of their Ohio terminal.

You tell 'em! Good job! Be proactive. I hope you get some better miles this week. 500mi. over 3 days with a fresh 70 is just ridiculous. It's almost like they're trying to make you quit. Good luck give 'em hel.

Every driver I have talked to runs 2500 or more miles a week and most of them have new trucks with the APU's. Dunno after researching companies and actually talking to the drivers they seem to be one of three that really stands out.

I will wait and see after I switch terminals and DM's if it improves and hopefully it will. If not I have two choices. Stay here and become a mentor that way I know the miles will be there and plus I might just enjoy it.

Or get out of trucking and go back to my business that I had since 1996 and just pray the economy picks up. Either way I have only a year left and I have to go back home and take care of my four kids I have custody of.

That is why it is so important for me to run the miles and make money out here. I want to get back to being with my kids. I only have a short time left to make as much as I can so you can understand why I get so frustrated when I am only getting 1700 miles a week.

I take home time about every 8 weeks only for two days because I need to make money. I am ready and willing to run hard every week so it's up to Swift to do their part.

That is all I ask nothing special just to be able to run decent miles so I can put money in the bank and take care of my kids. being a single father is hard and especially not being able to be with them.

    zebcohobo and Jarhed1964 Thank this.
