I sure hope something changes for the better driver !!!

After reading all your posts, there appears to be a few problems.

    Good Luck !!

So we have women (including me) who have slept with window screens, but there are still men who refuse to do so. Methinks what BW900 told me once about me being more of a man than some of the men in this industry is true. Cowboy up, folks.

I agree with Condo Cruiser. Apu's would solve half our issues and make both sides happy. If you want proof heres the math. A typical truck will burn 1 gal an hour which is $4 an hour. An apu will burn an gallon of diesel in eight hours. An apu will for itself in 1900 hours or under a year with the current diesel price. Even less with the price of diesel going up.

    Bluebonn,

Do what makes you happy even if it means going from Swift to another company. No shame in switching companies.

KH, that's if a driver idles all the time. It is not cost effective for my situation because I do not idle much. It would not pay for itself after cost of the unit, installation, fuel and maintenance. Yes, I have run the numbers. And I have looked into APUs. They're handy to have, but I can't justify the cost to me.

You find a company that will let you go solo without any training yet? How's that search going.
