Is it too much to expect your home time to be an actual day off?

X2... Iam very lucky.. I gota real good one .. she goes way above and beyond ...
I've come home after a 6 or 7 week tour of duty at 2am she has got up gathered up my laundry ... dropped by wagon in the yard pulled the truck in the shop and changed the oil while I sleep .. she has never once complained about me having to stay out 4 or 6 weeks at a time during the busy seasons
She's 1 in a million.

sheesh......she's a keeper, i hope you buy her flowers "just because".....

 

She does she grew up on a farm.. and her dad has a couple dozers too .. he raised her like a son .. there's not much of anything she can't do
I treat her good .. cause she is 1 in a million.. it took me 40 years to find 1 that understands my life style.. I'am not gonna give her up with out a fight

 

to be honest, once i saw that you are from Iowa, that was the first thing i thought...farm girl.

NO it is not to much to ask for, or expect. Talk (not argue) with her!

25+ Years ago when i still ran cross country, out 5-8 weeks, then home for a week.

When i came home, id go hang out with friends and family 1st day.
Then go home on day 2.

But she found out and went ballistic.

Thats when we TALKED, I explained the first day home. I just want to relax and let my body stop shaking from being in truck.
BUT the rest of the week off is hers.

She explained she works non stop every day. Then i come home with a bag of dirty laundry, and a hard d**k. She is only gonna take care of one.

We TALKED and agreed. She would writes out a honey do list. Makes sure i have a cold 6 pack when i get there. And hangs the list on fridge door.
I would help out where i saw she needed, and get her list done.

So now when I come home. I cut the lawn, rake leaves, (sometimes before i even walk thru the door) wash dishes, clean bathroom, whatever i see that needs to be done.
PLUS work off her honey do list. COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY!

Oh and i do my own laundry.

 

Date nights, dinner with friends, movie nights, taking kids on an adventure: YES

Lounging around being a lump putting off general home maintenance: NO

 

Just find a younger hottie and bring her on the road with you and if the wife dont like it, burn the house down. Better yet, take home time in Miami with younger hottie and tell wife to get off the couch and do the work herself.
