yes it's true. with all that is available to pass a pee test now days , it is much more acurate to do this and besides it goes back years instead of a month or 2.

 

I wouldn't worry to much about that though as long as your not an active user. I mean everybody ( well most) has used an illegal drug at some point.

i have heard from reliable sources that hair will retain for several months... ur best bet?? get serious, get away from the drugs!

 

I believe there are laws that keep them from going further back than 6 months. So, if you've been clean at least that long, then ur ok. I had to give a hair sample when I applied with Anheuser Busch to be a Clydesdale handler.

 

Or keep your hair cut real short.......ALL of it

Unless the feds have revised the drug testing rules, I believe they only accept the standard urine test as an official drug test.

This doesn't mean an employer cannot have a more strict test, it does mean the driver cannot be disqualified based only on that hair test.

I don't know if the feds have adopted the hair sample testing as an official test yet. If that happens, there's going to be a lot of drivers canned for discretions going back a long time.

Or...you'll have to shave every inch of your body.

More than several months, try years. I used to work in a doctor's office and we did plenty of tests. We had one major company that used hair for their pre-employment physical. Any that you used are stored in your hair. My hair is long. I would have years and years of history available to look at. The company only went back to approx. 6 months on the hair sample. The only way around it is to shave your head, and then get clean.

And no, not everyone uses/used . I can honestly say that I never tried or cigarettes. But I only know one other person who can say that same thing. And yes, I am regarded as a freak for that.
