Is it worth buying a used 2013+ truck? Is it true there all lemons ? HELP

Ecm abuse reports show running below 1400 rpm under load.

 

I just explained it, lugging, look a few posts back...

 

These new mx 13 tachs show green at 1200 and 1300?? But I'm guessing that is for cruising.

 

You get under 1400 rpm in these new Cummins, and you are lugging if you have any weight on there... The guys from Australia that haul those trains, 1650 rpm is their number, that is where they run them with the best results under a REAL LOAD. Those are the new high compression motors, CM-2250 to the new X15. Compressions are very high on these new motors, to high for me, especially after seeing the internals of these new motors, they are not the motors of my youth. And yes, I have been inside, in framed my CM-871 a few months ago, with my two hands, a bag of tools and an iPhone. Cummins has an ap.

 

Until the crank snaps... They are still having issues.

 

432,000 miles. Company truck. Warranty to 500,000.

 

And then what? 500,001 miles... Seen it, been there, done that... Have the scars and blown out knee to prove it, and photos...

 

all problems start at 600k miles...

 

Unless you have one of those boat anchor red motors. The problems with them start after you drive it off the lot.

 

isx 2350 is much better engine compared to DD15 . Cm2250 had many issues but Cummins updated it. DD15 is a lottery. And fixing emission problems is expensive.
