well...the laminated version is not required...you can get off cheap in the short run by buying the paper verion for 12 bucks instead of the laminated version for 60. but as someone pointed out the info doesnt change enough to warrant buying a new one til you need to. so since the laminated version will last AT LEAST 10 times longer without having to treat it with kid gloves, it is far cheaper to spend the 60 bucks on the laminated one.

i get the laminated one with Spiral binding, every few years, still have 2002, in fact all of them are in good shape after 2-3 years of riding and falling off the seat

Use mine daily, I paid 30 for it at the Pilot in Cedar City, Ut. Like many others here, I tried the cheaper one...yeah, not so much!
silenteagle Thanks this. -
I picked up 2012's about 8 months ago at a loves. Laminated, spiral... $24.99+ tax. It's an essential tool.
silenteagle Thanks this. -

I like the old AAA travel fold out maps, 2 or 3 hundred of them should about cover it.

I see the 2013 edition is out. Is it worth getting over a heavily discounted 2012 edition?
