I am hearing about 40 more horses from my Detroit Series 60 if I unplug the fuel temp. sensor on the primary fuel filter and put a 15k resistor across the plug socket. The more resistance tells the ECM that the fuel is hot and results in more power and less fuel consumption. Can anybody confirm this technique?
Is it your MPG improvement TODO list?

More power on less fuel. Just pay attention to that part.
Now if you still believe that, I've got a parcel of primo swamp I'll let you build a McMansion on for free! -
None of this stuff works. I have in on good faith from the Flat Earth Society (FES.) The absolute best way to get fuel economy is to run the maximum speed limit everywhere you go. The faster, the more horsepower you have, the better. You will get at least 10 mpg running fast, heavy and uphill all the way. You will gross more, less money in your pocket, but, hey, the gross is the important number. You will realize greater savings by not buying into this fuel economy, aerodydamics, slow down huey. I took the FES advice and am now getting 2.5 mpg, but I'm getting there so much faster. My gross, this year has to be $500,000. I had to take out a loan to buy my fuel though. I'll be in the hole about $250,000, impressive numbers.

It works on a Cat, wouldn't hurt to try. The ECM advances the timing to compensate for the hotter fuel.
I get better fuel mileage (measured pump to pump AND quarter to quarter) with my truck doing 650hp than it did at the factory 475hp. -
I am now averaging 5-6 mpg carrying 20-35k. Going to improve my HP and MPG today.
