Just go to jb hunt website and click on company driver. It should ask for your zip and state. Once you put that it in it will bring up all the job offers in your area.

Sounds like recruiter crap to me. They either need regional drivers or not. What is probation on OTR? OTR is probably the hardest job in trucking why you getting 'broken in on OTR?' You got to just ask who's arse you got to kiss for three months to get that regional run that you were promised in the first place?

It is standard practice to have anew hire on a probationary period. I do know that JB has dedicated accounts, one is the Staples stores. You will have to run the road for a time, how long, I cannot say, THEN you put your name on the list for the dedicated runs near you.

I worked with a manager at my old job, and he left for JB hunt, ( and got a job as a dispatcher there for the Staples account) and I called him, hoping I could get in on the dedicated account as I know him. I was told "sorry, I cannot get you onto dedicated until you go thru the routine with the company, THEN I can get you here for me"

I said forgedaboudit, as I had done the regional and OTR routine, and I wasn't about to take 4 steps backwards.

Make sure they say ONLY 48 states and NOT Canada, as you will need (I think) a passport?

What ever their policy is I don't know?

I do know that they spam the job source around here all the time looking for "dedicated drivers" offering to "start right up in dedicated accounts." If that is not the case, that would be reason enough not to consider them a trustworthy employer.

I got hired on with them last year and went straight to dedicated. It was a complete disaster out of the gate and I left. But it is possible to get hired straight to a DCS account.
