Not necessarily. The last union shop I was with did not have their contract online. I had to het it from the shop steward.

Hence i said it was the best paying job i ever had. Alot changed with the company the last 5 years i was there, including owners. Had a couple employees with less than 2 years to go untill full retirement, and the teamsters wouldnt even fight for them. They got a few more months pay than most did, but that was it. In the negotiations, the company said, “heres what the terminated employees are getting”, give us any crap, and we wont offer anything. The teamsters lawyer told us that we better take it, or we wont get a dime for severance. Personally i think the company paid the union off, or the union didnt have the funds to draw it out in court. Even though we had a good fight, cuz the company relocated our equipment to a non union sister company they had bought months before our shutdown.

No, only if they were bought and the seniority list dovetails

If you worked there you should’ve been given a contract book

Depends on the agreement. Where I am, driver comes from other location and goes to the bottom of the board as far as bidding goes, but keeps vacation weeks accrued, and time with company to gain additional vacation time. Also retains hourly rate, if it was more.
