How about the skateboards, landstar still have them? If so, how are those guys doing right now? Summer is coming, so skateboard freight should start picking up, i won't venture to guess that it was as good as last summer, or the one before that.. But it should get a little better at least.

    Comments?

skates are way slow. ecnomy is bad and since skats carry more raw materials they are usually the first to slow down. from what i've sen they aren't doing any better then vns at landstar right now. at least not well enought to justify the extra ork in my opinion but i'm a lazy van driver, what do I know

You dug up a three year old thread because you don't like the price they were brokering out some freight for. Don't like it, don't haul it. Learn to be a businessman as it's not personal. Better yet get some of your own contracts and quit relying on brokers. BTW, I looked up that load on the real load board, and MRE isn't even taking 20%. I don't know where you got those phony numbers from besides your fantasyland.

I have to agree, where did that crap come from ? I have never seen anything like that (load board) since I've been with them.

Fourtycalglock, LS does take 20% off the top of brokered freight, then it is up to the agent to bicker more for themselves, but that is only for outside carriers wanting to broker our crap that the rest of us don't want to haul.

Some of these agents take more than 20% . But I have seen a few take less.
Some agents post on dat before the company board they make more money on brokered loads than bco loads.
Why did he have to dig up a old thread why not start a new one?
