i have been on this site for awhile researching alot and posting smart choices and dumb. i currently talk to caleb this morning about go to maverick and he said that all i need to do for them to hire me is get my cdl which is fine. i do have experince in driving tandem anything from a 7 speed to a 13 speed, this tandems were semis at one time and i know how to work on them and check things out. im neverous on the pretrip test even tho i shouldnt be. i have taken practice test after practice test. i currently have a class b with air brake endrosment but i went to the dmv a couple weeks ago and the lady told me i didnt have a class b or air brakes whihc made me mad because i had called two dmvs to make sure that i did and they told me i did and all i would have to test on is combination portion out of the three test and thats what i put most of my time learning now im neverous about taken all three test. i currently want to get my cdl myself to save alittle money since maverick said that they would hire me. my choices are between maverick and swift flatbeds. i really want to go with maverick to save myself 4000 dollar for swifts program. i know that maverick is better choice and its clear as day i like what they have to offer and the pay is WAY better. ive been taking notes on alot of different companies and maverick is by far the best. i need some help on what their training involves and how everything works out with them. i have read other threads but wanted to start my own to get the best advice yall got to give a newbie wanting this career change badly.
is maverick the right choice?

an easy way to tell if you have a class B license would be to look at your license.........if you "want to get" your cdl, then you do not have a cdl...
-
it says class b, and im aware i dont have a class a cdl im more interested on wat company is the best
-
only you can decide which is best. just read up on all the comoanies you are interested in and make a decision.

Go to maverick with your CDL and I'll put you with a trainer for three-week or more if needed plus you'll spend two weeks in class and securement.
I think they're the best company to drive for. But what's best for one is not best for all. A trucking company is like a wife you have to find one that can put up with you and you can put up with them. -
Ummmm.....
MAVERICK.
Period.
