But since they weren't DOT reportable, and since they aren't on your DAC, there is no written record of it so you should be ok to the companies that allow 3 or less preventables. I am pretty sure they are only allowed to call your previous companies to verify employment and to see if you are rehirable...but I could be wrong

    HAZMAT66 Thanks this.

well you can sit at home and worry or try
Pastor Rick Warren asks the question. What has anyone ever fixed by worrying

I have never worried myself into a solution

Try Swift, they have Jonestown, PA and Syracuse, NY terminals near you...and may have runs for you into and near home, although I guess parking around Central New York is risky if parking is available at all. :D Just be honest about the problems and see what they say.

    Good Luck.

You need to get lists of companies in your area or an area you can go to. If you just fill out an application then that company has nothing to compare your skills with except the accidents. What I would do is down load trucking companies in your area. Do not quarry for trucking jobs because you'll get the list of companies you have already tried. What you want is a list of companies that are not advertising for a driver. A lot of companies do not need to advertise for drivers because drivers come to them. Try to to find all kinds of different places where you can get an address or phone number to a company that runs large trucks. The phone book, newspaper, truck stops, and anywhere else you might see a truck. You can even get information at the repair shop. Then make yourself a list of what you want out of a company. Don't go for make of truck because petes are best. Look for trucks that are kept up on their maintenance, how much home time, etc. Your pay and benefits are a very large concern.

Then clean yourself up and go into the selected companies. Explain in person what happened. Then the company has a reference besides a piece of paper. If you like the company tell them so and ask what it will take to get hired on. If they say there's no openings then let them know you'll find something temporary until there is. If you find a dead end with them ask them if they know of a company that might hire you. You'd be surprised how many companies know each other and they can help if they want to. It's all up to you and how you present yourself. If you haven't driven in awhile and need a re-fresher then you'll take care of that as soon as you can. Show them you really want the job. I think you'll be driving before you know it. Good Luck.

I only have two accidents, well, three, or is it four? I know I totaled two trucks. I was hit by a gal. I scraped another truck while backing and I hit a truck during a driving test. Oh, and I got stuck and it took the wrecker 7 hours to pull me out.

I have to agree with the good reverand. Worrying isnt going to change things. You did it so what. Maybe you learned. I for one do not drive with my cruise control on during a snow storm anymore. I also get some sleep before taking a driver test with a new company. Of course if no one sees it, it really didnt happen. I have no idea what happened to that traffic signal on 87th and State line in Kansas City officer.

Just apply, all they can say is no.
