Assuming you could be able to have an insurance company insure you, even at a high risk rate, there isn't a company out there willing to lease you on with them. That causes you to purchase your own authority, IFTA, pay your 2290 tax, and everything else just to be able to drive, and for how long until you wreck your own vehicle. You'd be so deep in the hole before you started you'd never see daylight.

Do everyone a favor including yourself and family and stay off the road before you kill or maim someone.

You might want to start of even smaller than a dump truck, like fedex express or ground. Try UPS they have some of the best driver training there is, I don't think driving a 18 wheeler is for you at this point. When your record clears up and you can learn safe driving techniques then look into it, look into the smith driving system learn it and live by it everyday and you will be a much safer driver in no time. Sorry if it was a little harsh but the truth on the road is most O/O are one accident away from being out of business.

Good luck with your dreams and drive safe Target ZERO for 2009

Driving may be in your blood (there may a shot for that) but based on your driving record, I wouldn't say it's your "calling" :biggrin_25512:

:biggrin_25516:####, 3 incidents, 2 speed violations plus a rollover in 13 months? Yikes. Dude, re-think your calling, as you put it. Trucking is a very serious business, the rollover will be the incident that keeps you from driving anytime soon.

You say you're in construction, imagine doing sloppy/shoddy work. Such as leaking roofs, poor plumbing, hap hazard electrical, windows that don't seal or open, doors that don't shut etc. You wouldn't have much work, because your reputation would be shot. :biggrin_25516:
