    Yes I work part time, 2 loads a week. I drive to N. D. and back to Colorado. I don't load or unload, when i arrive they are waiting to me unloaded and load, then on the road back home.

    But the OP wants to do this as an O/O....on weekends no less. Just the 8k per year insurance would kill him much less a truck payment and all the fixed expenses...

    I worked PT as a company driver for awhile...three separate gigs... one hauling fuel, one bulk taters and the other general freight. But I didn't own the truck... it would work if a guy had a paid for truck with his own accounts but that kind of deal is pretty rare. You would never pull it off running from the load boards... not enough business's are open on weekends.
