Heard a rumor (from Saving Andrew Lincoln) that Quality is jumping the truck payment up to $900 a month, and that they are trying to get the older trucks leased, and have no new ones. To me, this is akin to truckstop scuttlebutt, because SAL heard it from someone else. If that's the price now, they can keep the trucks. But I want to hear it from someone with first hand knowledge.

Must be new regs coming, all companies bought trucks last year..this year orders are down, and most all truck building companies are laying off.
    Save up 10K and buy a truck,through normal channels..in this economy..anyone with a pulse,can get a low interest loan.

I just went to quality in Indy about a month ago. They bring in trucks all day. Mostly Volvo and internationals on the lot. You give the worker the vin # of the truck on the lot and he sees if it's available. Waxahachie, TX has trucks also

$900 a month would be good, I think you meant $900 a week though. Just gonna say, you can buy 2 trucks and a couple trailers for $900 a week and still have money left over... When the government regulates these freight-brokers more and gets freight prices up, maybe a lease will be acceptable, but right now it is way too expensive. Just my opinion.

Yes, I meant per week. Thanks.

"Too expensive" is subjective. But no one has come up to say how much their lease is now, so I'd have to say Chasing Andrew Jackson is just speculating.

I just notice I called him Chasing Andrew Lincoln. I guess Walking Dead is embedded in my brain more than I thought. LOL
