My cousin is trying to join school with me here's the quick question. He had reckless driving and attempted to flee or elude 3yrs ago. He applied with a company last week they ran his Mvr came back perfectly clean yeah surprise the #### out of me to. Here's the problem he applied with D.O.T last month they sent him a letter showing those to charges. Why is this help me out he's waiting to call recruiter back and I start next week.
Is reckless driving pulled on your Mvr

If he was cited for it then it should be on his record. I have no first hand experience but I've read about guys having a hard time getting a job with a reckless driving charge. It's not going to be impossible to get a job, just a little tougher
-
If it was more than three year ago that he was charged it might be an issue but not imposable. Just a bit harder finding that first job.
If he finished his sentence more than 3 years ago then he will have to list it on his application but it shouldn't be an issue at all with getting hired. I'm not 100% sure but he may not be able to go into Canada with a CMV with those charges no matter how old they are. -
He was cited for it I have learn that maybe it's on his criminal back ground check and not on his Mvr can this effect him with getting a cdl job
Ghost Ryder Thanks this. -
At least he's experienced . If he goes to a bottom feeder starter company he'll be attempting to flee or elude them before long .
HotH2o, Cjh_army, CenutryClass and 2 others Thank this. -
Yes, it can affect his chances of getting a job. Reckless driving is frowned upon. Last thing any company wants is a reckless driver behind the wheel of a big rig. Someone will hire him. He'll just have to try harder.

That's what I'm thinking but he just called driver solutions they ran his mvr says it's clean also. So either they run your mvr and not criminal record when you call or either he's good .

Every company is going to run his criminal. If he doesn't disclose it then they will really blackball him.

t when he gets to orientation -
Citations only stay on your MVR for 3 years so even if it shows on his record it can still be considered a clean record if it has been 3 or more years since the conviction date.
