Reefer is pretty good.. Always work even in times of hardship... Just get with the right company though because if you get with jo blow then you could be sitting at the dock for hours on end..

    Intothesunset and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Most company reefer is contract freight.

Spot market, maybe you're right. But usually, by the time a guy finds an old reefer (and if he still has the capital to afford one, big if) the economy is back up. Back to whatever he goes.

    There all the same.
    They all pay the same.
We all ride the same roads.
We all park at the same places.
We all put up with the same bull.

Van,flatbed, reefer, none of them are going
    Anywhere anytime soon.
You can make a career in any of them.

maybe not heavy haul IDK would have to ask a heavy haul guy... but flatbed gets very slow during the winter... gets very slow when economy tanks... flatbed is mostly construction materials and industrial frieght, or industry commodities, steel , lumber , etc... reefer is much more stable when it comes to year round freight and stable when economy tanks because ur hauling consumer necessities, groceries, medicine,, etc
