Is Roehl ever going to get any new equipment?

Most of the trucks I see in FL are the old internationals and a couple of columbias here and there. In my opinion there is nothing wrong of running equipment to 700K as long normal maintenance is done. Even SNI does that. Glad to see Roehl is getting new equipment for its drivers though. If the Volvos are 630 models, the midroofs, they arent that bad. The 670 is the condo model.

Keep in mind Roehl specs their tractors for fuel mileage not power. When you see something other than red, look at the number. Four digits, it's a company truck, three digits it's an o/o. Mine is blue and the family is still arguing about what to name her. My daughter (she's ten) wants to name her "Blue Awesomness." I'm leaning towards my wife's name of "Blue Thunder."

Got a "new" 2007 Frieghtliner this week. So far so good, only run 700 miles with it so far. Also got the new Qualcomm, and it rocks, it is like a big Droid smart phone, slide out keyboard and all. I hope that they will use the thing for all that it was designed to do. Anyway I'm in 7525 now, put old 6940 out behind the barn... By the way there are a whole bunch of new Volvo mid-roof trucks up here in Marshfield.

Not part of the equipment but they are building a new shop/terminal in Appleton. I'm assuming it's to replace the one in Kaukauna

Yes I have the new Qualcomm, and it is just the old one repackaged. Anything that would have been really useful is disabled... Big surprise there. Anyway they are neat and could do alot to make out job easier, but as normal, Roehl does everything the hard way. I now keep two log books, one e-log and one paper log, because I can never get my students logged into the new unit because no one can set it up on the other end in Marshfield... They should have stuck to smoke signals, and morse code...
