Agreed, I know of a guy that should be turning 1 million miles in his Roehl truck soon. It's starting to show signs of wear and tear, but for the past 8 years it's been reliable. It's all about how you treat the equipment your given (and not being from PA helps)

What does PA have to do with it??? Multiple drivers in and out of trucks is also hard on them... Roehl does just as well as any of the other fleets. I think Gary gives the entire organization a black eye, and that is just a function of not enough space and mechanics for the amount of traffic through that terminal. That was built with a specific fleet size in mind, an I think they have grown past the current capacity. Newer equipment does usually take less work, but that is not always the case.

no doubt, Gary kind of sucks. I was just giving you a hard time for being from PA. Some of my best drivers were from there. If you are the only driver to a truck odds are it's going to perform better long term. If the truck switches drivers at the current rate of turnover 80% they are going to have more problems. It takes a little time to feel a truck out.

Yep the same can be said for ellenwood. Though they are building more bays there. They could improve that place so much by building more on the bottom lot.

I wouldn't know about Ellenwood, I only get to run between Marshfield and New York City, it is like a dedicated route for me. I can't wait to get back to work to resume the fun...

Some new equipment would be great!

Right now I'm sitting in the TA parking lot in Jeffersonville, OH in the middle of a freezing rain storm with a massive windshield leak right above the fuse box. Its bad enough that I cut the top off one of my old 3 liter water jugs and placed it underneath, it fills up in about an hour. Maintenance has no possible cures for it besides idiotic ideas that are impossible. Would be nice if it froze shut, but no....it can't be cold enough for something like that.

So what do I do? Go to sleep and seriously hope that the water doesn't short something out and start a fire leaving me with no escape?

My truck leaks also... I can't wait to get back up to Marshfield to get it fixed. It is a good thing that Freightliner doesn't build submarines!!!
