ha....I haven't had them tell me which mt to pick up either...I just grab whatever is available and roll..I try to find the one that doesn't look like an advertisement for DOT to inspect me...but I don't always have a choice...I only once did a yard search but that was in Jax and I was headed home at the time...not a big deal..but if I was rollin...oh hell no..

They asked me to do that last week too and I informed them that the shipping department said that we were on the "no release list." So they sent me an hour away to get an mt and then back to york...LOL!

Lol that's one place they did it to me. Had me pick up a load there once I signed for it dispatch cancelled it. I already had posession they made me go back in to see the girl and try to leave it. Lol I couldn't since I'd already signed. Then they instructed me to do a yard check. I laughed at him on the phone I was almost up on hrs and said nope. Ask the next driver. Lol

Today I deliver to a sysco. I drop my nice awesome 63xxx series and get the pleasure of picking up a 60xxx series!!!! I didn't know there were any left.

The rims looked like they were going to rust off the tires. The icc bumper looked like it had it fair share of road salt eating away at it.

Seriously, only mt they had. Only reason I took it was because I had to drop it at a customer where I was picking up a pre loaded. The 60xxx had the ABS light coming on every time id touch the brakes. Then on top of that id hit the brakes and my tractor would slow down a little then all of a sudden the trailer would jerk back. Guess the brakes are a little out of adjustment. Called maintenance and they said drop it at the customer and they'll take care of it. Oh okay....

Always loved how they would say these things then always preach to you for not doing something about it on the voicemails. about DOT violations, Many drivers were doing something, just getting told otherwise lol...

Yup. You call and their not worried about it.

    In a few months-

Me: hey theres an air leak that's audible on this trailer and the brakes aren't working very well.

Maintenance: well unhooking then Rehook the air lines. If that doesn't fix it we'll get you into Gary.

Me: I'm going over two mountains and I'm grossing 79,899lbs. I'm at a truck stop that will fix it for $40.

Maintenance: no, we can't afford that, just drive slow and get it to Gary.

I check brake adjustments if the brakes don't grab after I hook up and use my trailer brake handle...7/16th wrench works great...make sure your button is pushed in then go out and turn clockwise til it will not turn any more...then back off 1/2 turn and bang your good...if that don't fix it...call maint...if they don't fix it..call safety...the wrench turners aren't much help most of the time..
