Alot of ppl don't realize that when it comes to being paid. they don't see its 70 hours a week on top of all the stress and being away from home.

I'm glad you're doing well, say hi to the wife for me. I wouldn't know much about what it's like being on the road, but I do know that it works for some people and not so much for others. Some enjoy it for awhile, but like any job after time it can wear on you.

If you ever get back this way give me a shout and I'll take you out for dinner.

I got a brand new only 81 miles on the odometer Cascadia today truck 7499...my old truck suffered a catastrophic failure of the turbo that sent metal into the cylinders...so no more APU for me... but she pulls nice, IDK about up hill yet...the shift points are different than the columbias...but she rides nice...IDK I hope its good to me...

I think that road is one of the worst roads in the country. Way too many red lights that come on when there is no one at the intersection. They should put the yellow caution lights ahead of them that start flashing if the light if going to turn red.

What engine is in the Cascadia? I've got a Prostar with the International MaxxForce....it pulls great & the fuel economy is incredible! I avg. 8.2 after this week.

Lol my only choice? Please I'm loving what I am doing. My little rant about maintenance was just some venting on a situation. Yes I understand I don't get paid for everything I do, and I knew that coming into this industry. I also love working for Roehl.. So idk what you got out of my little rant about a stupid situation but what ever it was you took it completely wrong.

Or it came off as wrong. Either way no big deal.

Also Mic, I am jealous... I want one of the new Cascadias so bad! things are pretty. Glad you got a nice truck sir!

Mine was cut short, I'm 11-14/3. I live in Jacksonville FL. 7th day out I was stuck in Orlando FL, got a qualcomm message telling me to head home and back out when. Jumped all over that (even though money is always nice haha).

I applaud you for doing 32 days. My first three trips out were 30+ days so I burnt myself out on staying out that long. I can only do it if I need to in order to get the time off.

yeah the reason i did it was for my nephews birthday this weekend.

But i didnt mind being out that long, but i didnt like being away from my dad that long ya know.

I love OTR and being away from home. but now my limit is really only 20-25 days. no more. on top of that i ran 32 days WITHOUT a single 34 hour reset. I ran every day, somedays it had to be only a few hours.

It was exhausting, but i felt accomplished in all i did. I have a 65xxx series trailer with air slide tandems. only way i can get the pull bar to stay out is with vice grips cuz the bar is worn down where it will catch the metal and keep the pins out lol. Im gonna call maintenance the day before i launch. see if i can get up to the jax yard and get a different trailer.
