Ah come on drtydiesel be a team roehl player, keep that 65xxx series trailer.
Look at the experiance you will gain. LOLS ! Visegrips are mandatory on
All 65 series trailers. I had one that I picked up and it took three pairs of vise grips
To hold the pins in to slide the tandems due to missing linkage.
Hope they retire the rest of those rags !

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Get on flatbed and you'll never have to mess with that stuff. We have so many new flatbed trailers.

I just pulled a new 63xxx trailer and had to use vice grips on it. I actually haven't had any trouble with a 65xxx trailer in a long time.

okay to answer a previous question..my cascadia has the Detroit Diesel DD15 motor...

I have used vicegrips on older trailers to hold the pull pin so I could slide tandems more than once...as far as the 63xxx trailers...there are still a few older ones of those out there too...so beware...LOL

Ah your 21 to. Nice to see another young driver (unless your age on the forum is incorrect lol) Also the only time I want to stay out longer is to get the time off. Like now, family is going on vacation from the 18-23. I'm going to try and go because if I stay out from tomorrow thats 24 days to the 17/18. Which should give me 4-6 days off. Give or take.

Either way, it's a win win I make money both ways. Just more money the longer I am out.

As for dropping it at the drop yard, if you want to get maintenance to let you drop it at the shop next to the yard for repairs and pick up another one from the drop yard. I'll tell you though, those #### air slide tandems are the biggest pieces of junk. I don't care what trailer I pick up honestly as long as it is legal but if it has that air slide crap I cringe.

And be a tarp strap streacher instead off a door closer ? Just kidding dude
Its all good. Besides id rather pull 65 series trailers than throw a lumber tarp. :biggrin_25514:

Yeah Im not big on throwing tarps brother. Id definitely do flatbed if I didn't have to tarp, if all i had to do was throw chains or straps, fine by me lol.

Yeah I'm 21. Thats why I stayed out, more days off. I was thinking, someone told me the new prostars and cascadias dont have the trailer hand brake. So if i got air slide tandems, How on earth would I slide them?? Buy a wheel chock?

Drtydiesel no worries there is a hand break valve in the pro stars, I'm assuming the cascadia does to. What the prostar didn't have and this was the white one (baby eight) was a air suspension drop valve.

On the prostar I had it was on the right side of steering column, pretty much
Like the IH 9400. Also I'm curious as to what your avg miles are, pay to pay
Period since you stay out, wanted to ask lanteren the same question ?

Who knows there could be differences between certain models, but I would think
A trailer brake hand valve would be standard equipment and the suspension
    Drop\raise valve.
