Keeping in mind irishwarrior, I may complain about my truck and FM. But you will never hear me bad mouth this company. I believe this company has alot of strengths. Maintenance is good, Ellenwood and Gary.. Well I understand Gary they are the patch and go terminal to get you up to Marshfield or appleton. They are busy. Ellenwood..... Like Mic said even I prefer not to get my truck worked on there.
And part of my truck having so many issues is because it hasn't gotten full attention from any of the mechanics. I have to make them do their job to even get it half way done. (Ellenwood to say). Don't take what I say negative. Even with my bad experience I'm still positive about things. As much as you want it to be, not everything can be in your control.
Is Roehl ever going to get any new equipment?

When it comes to Roehl and new trucks, keep one thing in mind. Roehl pays CASH for every single new truck and this is why it takes time. If you look at all the large companies out there saddled with enormous debt in this economy and then add in the high fuel prices, those companies are struggling. All the while Roehl is DEBT FREE and expanding. I've owned three businesses over the year and being debt free is the single most important asset that will keep the doors open.

that is true...Roehl doesn't like to lease...they own all there land the terminals are on...and pay for every one of their trucks...I think the old man has something to do with that philosophy....and I am pretty sure Rick is on the same page as far as that goes...

While i was at roehl i had plenty of down time due to maintenance. I had 3 trucks while there. Mostly because i switched from flats to vans. But each of those three had major issues which i got to deal with. My volvo s turbo and EGR went bad. 4 Days in Marshfield then out and a week later they took it and gave me my flat truck and securement training. Then ran a week or two and a gasket issue. Had to go to get fixed at truck country for two days. Thats when i met Cheryl's hubby Chris. Then once i got rolling i ran flats and just wasnt moving enough to make money. So i switched and got an 07 freightshaker, one they actually put on the road when it was new... had several minor issues with it. Seemed like every trip out was something... then after all that finally strung a few months with no issues till the AC went. That sucked the most because i had to plan more carefully in order to get to hotels (which roehl took care of) to stay the nights. Saw this trucks driver a few months ago and she was still rolling.
I guess what i am saying is they all have issues and some of us are unlucky and get to sit. Some guys never know what its like to sit there... lol most probably do.
Hoping if i make a return i get a better deal this time around. Lol -
