I am SOOOOO glad I got a 2012 without that crap on it, I am thinking it is probably going to cause some accidents.

Usually if your not on a 14/3 ull end up with a truck that always needs to be fixed, heard a lot about that from the drivers lounge.

Personally id disable that system, its just unsafe and I wouldnt want to risk my life on a faulty radar detector. BTW I ran 63 the whole time I drove for roehl, only had one FM that gave me a hard time. I just told them im driving the truck, not you.

The trucks with this bendix system , do they also have a traction control so when on
Ice and snow the system dosent overbrake and cause you to jackknife ? I know that the
System will have ABS. Sounds like drivers will be at the mercy of the truck computer.

Problem is what ever happens it will still be the drivers fault ! :biggrin_2552:
Also sounds like the system is on all the time and shutting the cruise off has no effect.

Sounds so dangerous. Bet some experts behind a desk thought it was a great idea.

I know my cascadia has the traction control system and ABS......and yes turning cruise off doesn't have an effect on the collision system....I can't wait til it locks my truck and throws me in a skid...cause I know I will be blamed...cause of following too close otherwise the system wouldnt go off....I love technology LOL

I have a new Cascadia and I might spend some of my quality time while waiting to get unloaded this week poking around for the fuse that feeds that gizmo. It might rattle loose. :mwink:

I wonder what happens in a winter storm when ice and snow build up on the sensor ?
If it makes the system go into a non-working mode, wouldn't some cardbord do the same thing? If so just make sure ya remove it before getting to a terminal ! LOLS !

I drove a truck with the vorad system and it would not do anything but beep when heavy rain or snow is happening. Never liked the thing cuz it always slows when overhead bridges and even cones. It seems more of an annoyance then a safety measure...

when the snow builds up on it...it will beep and give an error...becomes non functional...but then you can't use your cruise either (like you would want to when its slippery)....

Just throw some black electrical tape or gorilla tape on it (black) and they probs wont even notice. Also I use my cruise control Mic like 10% of the whole time I'm out so if I get a truck with that sensor on it and it disables cruise, eh don't use it anyways!! (don't put much thought into fuel mileage since I have to idle so much with my current truck)
