My husbands truck had over 700k on it and they finally gave him one of those new trucks, because his was breaking down every time he went out. He agrees that it's nice, but he sure does miss the power that that old International had. He said this one can hardly make it up a hill past 20-25 mph. If your trucks still running good, be careful what you wish for! :)

My international was breaking down non stop. Had over 700k aswell. I'll tell you what I have to agree with him on the power. That cummins engine is something else compared to this engine I got in my new cascadia. I go from not really dropping below 8th gear to having to go between 5th-7th to maintain the hill.

I do really LOVE the amenities this truck had over my old international. Specially the EPU.. my international had nothing. Though I do sleep better with a idling truck because the AC get's so much colder idling. Oh well, I can't complain much though, atleast they gave me something better then what I had.

I haven't had to shift down near as much with my cascadia as I did with my columbia...but when I had an international it pulled well...but turned like a pig and I hated the mirrors...I am pleased with my cascadia...will be much happier once they get the parksmart A/c fixed....but I am allowed to idle now without having to jury rig anything...

Is it possible to bump up the idle on FL Cascadia's? I notice the cruise control button is on the steering wheel and not not on the dash like in the Columbia's. We have a lot of Cascadia's at work. I just can't figure out how to bump up the idle. We also use the auto shut off after 5 minutes on our trucks.

nope not possible to bump the idle unless there is a switch to do that specifically...but you can wedge the pedal to 1k rpm and she will run like a champ

So I'm I'm ellenwood getting my truck repaired. I'm sitting on a load headed home.

My speedometer went out in Oklahoma. Mechanic thought it was my speed sensor.

They replaced the speed sensor, fixed my transmission leak and the speedometer isn't working still and my truck Is still losing power and bucking. Guy who test drove it said he now thinks.my Turbo is going out. Wouldn't surprise me for a truck that's sat still from 2007-2011. Hell, it could even be the ecm. I don't know. Hopefully get it fixed soon, I gotta be home by Thursday :D

My old '07 did that, drank a gallon a week. Got 6.5 if lucky. My new '07 gets pretty bad mileage, but i think that the Turbo may have something to do with that.

sounds like a turbo or EGR....does it blow smoke when it loses power??? could also be the VPOD too...(my trainers truck did that when I was with him)...I knew it was an EGR as soon as it happened...

Doesn't blow smoke. They took the new speed sensor out and put the old one back in since the new one didn't change anything. They took the intake tube off and looked at the Turbo, my Turbo has cracked vanes and only about 80% are still there. So a new Turbo is a must.

If the shop decides they wanna send it to a dealer to have warranty work done then they'll let me take my load home, drop it off. Then take it to a dealer 30 minutes from my house. Ill be home for 5 days, so that'll give them time to fix it.
