yea you'll like the air slide, I had em when I was At KLLM. Pull out both brakes, push in tractor brake, get out pull knob by the tandem slide axle as needed, push in trailer pull it back out and make sure pins are locked and good to go. I remember those pull handles and seemed like every trailer I got something was always wrong with the tandem pins haha!

The air ride part is cool. Air assist for the tandems however sucks!!!!! I don't get the logic that these people have when making trailers.. If its powered by air to get the pins in what happens after 6-7 years of wear and tear? Oh yeah that's right it takes 40 minutes, 3 maintenance calls, and more wasted time trying to adjust them again because you over.

Maybe more broken parts mean more money the company can make? Idk. All I know is I hate air slide. Hopefully these new ones prove me wrong

Blume trucks. I love it. I got rid of the 2007 Columbia with the camera on the windshield looking at me. Never again

The air slide sucks when you don't have a trailer break in the cab of the truck. I have one, but the new cascadia and pro stars don't have them. They didn't order them with trailer brakes in the cab

WTH are you talking about? The air release sliders only work when you have the trailer brakes set (red button out). Having a hand valve has nothing to do with making one slide.

Oh I thought they were like some of our trailers that have air assist. The only way to get the tandems to slide are with the red button in and the trailer hand brake held down.

Well I haven't seen one of these new trailers but our current fleet of old trailers with all that air assist crap requires you to have a hand brake because those parking brakes won't hold and just roll when your trying to slide the tandems. Since the new trucks don't have the hand brakes I'm having to swap airlines to do the same thing as having the #### trolley valve

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
