As controlling as Roehl was I don't doubt you one bit! Between the company wide log audit every Tuesday and sending in ur hours in on the QC by midnite otherwise u didn't get a load that day was B.S. Don't know if they still do that or not but I was still sorta new when I worked for them so I didn't know any better. But them putting a camera in the truck to spy on me would crazy!!! They would take it out after the first few days of me going to work in the nude haha!:biggrin_2556:

I don't know if they do a log audit on all drivers every Tuesday, I doubt it because that would take way to much of safety's time. As far as sending in your hours, I've gone 3 days without sending my hours in and never had a problem. They have it set up now that when you approve you logs it automatically sends your previous hours in.

As far as the camera its not really to spy, its designed for people who constantly have hard breaking issues or speeding. They put the camera in to see what your doing and what's ahead of you on the road.

Some of the newer trucks have them, but I was told by maintenance that they were starting to take some of the cameras out of the trucks.

As far as driving nude, the mechanics told me about a woman who got fired for being in the sleeper and "enjoying herself". The camera recorded it, she got fired for having sex in the truck even though it was with herself. Then she put a lawsuit against Roehl and won, and now roehl is taking the cameras our of some of the trucks.

That's what i was told by maintenance and its not the first time I've heard that story, its been from other drivers all the way to other maintenance guys at different terminals.

I'm glad to be out of that truck, I like the one I'm in except for the auto transmission but I'm getting used to it.

Picked up my truck today from Jacksonville. It was there getting the front end fixed which didn't happen. Now I got a brand new 2013 and this thing pulls to the left like no other. Heavier the load the worse. The dealership tried 3 pages worth of things, 6 days they had this truck while I'm suffering in a loaner which stunk and was nasty. Well Roehl finally decided the shop wasn't doing a good enough job and pulled the truck from them. Which I'm happy about because I wanted to be back in it so bad. But now the truck has to go back to Wisconsin to the dealership in Wausau (i think it how it's spelled) to get fixed.

I know they replaced brake chambers, drums, shoes, tires, s cams, air lines, and the list went on but you get the point.

However, I won't have the truck much longer anyways. I got a call from the flat bed division operations manager in Marshfield and he told me they would accept me in their division. (Had a weekend support guy who was a flatbed FM and I had asked him, guess he emailed the chief). Same day (monday) he called me I had a new FM and plans for next trip out to get to gary for securement training and a flatbed truck. I'm nervous as heck and excited as well.

Well if you PM me what your car is I'll look to make sures it ok. I'm at my house for the night and left my truck at the yard. I got to swing through here with this load which is uncommon. And yes, I went to Wausau originally to get the problem fixed and they gave up aswell. That big chief shop guy in Wisconsin.. He is ALWAYS in a rush. Steve I think his name is? He is in a hurry non stop, and from the looks of it I can never tell if the shop is busy or not, heck I think they decommission more trucks then work on.

HOPEFULLY I will get a pretty silver prostar. but my luck is bad so it will probably be a pink 07' columbia.

By they time they complete this task, it's time for the next set of new trucks.

I hope not, dont want to give up my pink 07 freightshaker with thermo king apu, air suspension drop, trailer hand brake valve, and not very many have this, in cab air assist fifth wheel disconnect. :biggrin_25514:

I will really be suprised if the whole fleet is changed out that quick.
the only reason could possibly be savings in fuel with the new trucks.
I just hope if I do get one that the battery pack can run my cpap machine and keep me comfortable on a 10 hour break.

Also with the problems the cascadias are having, Im thinking pro star.

My new truck has the air assist fifth wheel disconnect. I thought all the new cascadias and prostars have them. Though, it doesn't have everything else you said. The loaner I had did come with a APU, and it was freaking nice. Ran it on 50 all night every night. I enjoyed it. The battery pack isn't bad though, yeah they don't last to long though :/

The good thing about the pro stars is that you can set them to automatically start and idle for about 10 minutes or so when the batteries get low. It will automatically start and idle at like 1500rpm to charge then shut back off.
