Flatbed is great this time of year, plenty of work, warm sunny days. Just wait til January and Feburary in the Twin Cities, then you will wish you had never seen a flat bed. It is good work, but it does have a real downside, and with Roehl it seems almost everything has to be tarped.

Lost 20 lbs myself. 15-20 more an I will be like I was 10 years ago, when I was really trim and fit.
OK dreaming again, but who says you can't dream... Well at least when your not driving. -
Meltom Thanks this.

I have been a flatbedder forever too. I enjoy the work, just not the cold. There is only so much that you can put on to stay warm, and still be able to move. The biggest problem I usually had was getting tarps folded small enough to get them back in the boxes. Other than that just have a good broom and shovel so you can clean your tarps and trailer off, and always carry some kind of ice melt in the winter to put on your deck before you load. I always carried a couple of extra gallons of water, that way if I got really dirty and the weather was okay, I could clean up a bit before I got back in the truck. Just my two cents...
