My son is 23 and my daughter is 17. Having a daughter has caused me more stress than my son could have ever accomplished. I'm currently hunting her ex-bf to put a scare into his little punk ###.

I know how to play the trumpet and some what on the piano. Heck I still have my trumpet from school. Coolest instrument hands down. Plus it has 3 buttons, it takes skill to hit the high notes. It's not easy at first, but it all falls in line after practicing.

My daughter is very headstrong and being a singer is her goal no matter what anyone tells her. My dad was fixated on her trumpet playing and she informed him (politely, but firmly) that the trumpet is a hobby. Her goal is to sing on Broadway and she isn't straying from that. The best I've been able to do is get her to expand her vision to include composing and concert performance. Her voice is smooth, but soft. If she doesn't learn to really sing out, then she should look at being a singer in the Karen Carpenter model.

As for the boys, they have to meet her standard and the local ones don't measure up. If they aren't musical, intelligent, creative, Christian, pleasant and know how to treat her right, then they don't stand a chance.

P.S. How did we get from talking about Roehl and new equipment to talking about our kids?

Not sure how we started on kids, but my wife called me fuming today. My 5 year old son was going #2 and my 4 year old son was in there as well. My four year old comes walking out with poop on his cheek. My wife goes in and asks my other son if he wiped poop on his brother. He said "Yes." I narrowly averted marital disaster by restraining the laughter that almost burst out. She did not think the situation was amusing.
