Looking to get company training. Do you think that an 8 year Social security disability for ADD would be a deal killer? Even with the supposed shortage?
(Is there such thing as medical privacy that would make the disability my business and not theirs?) Hence would embellishing a story about taking care of an ill parent and traveling to Mexico etc. be better?
Thanks!
Is SSI disability a deal killer?

It will play heck with the 10 year job history. There will only be your previous work history before SSI for them to check on. Who knows.

wow, i cant believe we pay into ss for THAT. yeah i would go with the mexico thing.

Sort of off topic - but SSI is a pyramid scheme that you or I would go to jail for running a business in a similar manner.
It also only returns 2% on the investment which means that if you invested the same amount of money your retirement would be 500% higher.
It's a raw deal for everybody all the way around. -
why do people still think there is a driver shortage.......??
in any event, the SSI will show up on a background check. you "might" have to get a doctors letter/release saying you are way better now. but personally, i wouldn't sweat it too much. -
I am on SSI and wheel hair bound could I get a cdl and if so would I lose my SSI ? I am 55 yrs old last time I worked was 1998
