I'm running a hotshot truck focused mostly on freight but have the ability to do cars. So far I've just been working off paper copies of everything, but for electric BOL's is super dispatch app pretty much the standard that everyone uses?
Is super dispatch pretty much the industry standard?

You carry a Million dollar policy for freight on a hotshot? Just asking.
-
Yes, we have same requirements as big trucks. I think the DOT requirement is only 700k but everyone requires $1 mil to run their loads. Unless you are meaning cargo and then it's a standard of $100k for freight.. I'm under 3 cars so it's all I need for cars as well.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.

Freight is 750,000 cars are 1 mil, as far as your question, there are a lot of different platforms out there as a lot of larger Brokers have there own apps, but SD is one of the best and growing.
-
Yea all the freight brokers require $1 mil regardless.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.

I wanted to bump this to see if there is any suggestions? I was looking at both Super Dispatch & CarShipIO
I'm curious if anyone has any reasons why one is better than the other? It seems CarShipIO is a lot cheaper for a single truck outfit than SD is and seems to import from a lot more loadboards. Any one have any reason why to use one over the other? -
i cant speak for carshipio, but superdispatch is amazing. so simple and always works. i havent had any issues.
-
yeah, I'm curious though can you import from other load boards besides Central with Super Dispatch? I know they do central but one of the things I noticed with carshipio is you can import from a lot of other load boards like RPM, metologistics and a bunch of others.
-
rpm has a load board? I didn’t know that. With super and the chrome plugin you can one click import from central and carsarrive. The other boards you have to import the BOL or rate con for the information to populate. Some bols/ rate cons won’t upload. Metros definitely does. United used to, but stopped once they switched to haully. Rpms definitely upload no problem. What’s rpms load board website?
